The youngest town in the province of Ragusa hosts the “ Cerasuolo Wine Society” and one of the biggest fruit and vegetable market in Italy.
The tour starts from Popolo Square on which we find the 18th century Madonna delle Grazie’s (with convent) and the prestigious Town Theatre, one of the most beautiful models of european neoclassicism, according to art historian Berenson. Then a visit of the imposing Mother Church dedicated to San Giovanni Battista’s and of the Colonna Henriquez Castle, hosting the “ Cerasuolo Wine Society”, to conclude with a relaxing stroll among elegant Liberty buildings.
